What You’ll Do

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll be a member of a cohesive and experienced agile team helping to validate and launch new features on our platform. Members of the QA team need to understand the needs of the customer, working with design, product, and engineers to launch the best user experiences possible. 



Duties and responsibilities include:


  • Drive Quality - Continuously push for quality across new and existing products. 
  • Evaluate Requirements - Understand stakeholder intent while reviewing written requirements in order to evaluate work completeness.
  • Document Defects - Document defects identified in testing using reproduction steps, which both technical and non-technical stakeholders can understand.
  • Interact with Internal Stakeholders - Communicate with stakeholders across all departments in order to solve problems, establish understanding, and report progress.
  • Escalate Issues / Concerns - Communicate with team members and external stakeholders when issues or concerns arise which lay outside specified requirements.
  • Solve Problems - Think like an end user reproducing issues on how they use our software.
  • Multi-Task - Be able to handle many different priorities, being able to switch tasks as needed to verify and prioritize production or business issues as they arise throughout the day.
  • Own the Product - Take ownership of the product and how it performs. Take ownership of any defects that make it into production and improve the process on a consistent basis.
  • Contribute ideas - Provide input and suggestions as to how to increase the team's productivity, release quality, and job enjoyment.
  • Documentation - Participate in creating clear and concise documentation for our applications 


Who You Are 

You are a motivated, smart, and driven individual who wants to work in an energetic and entrepreneurial environment. You understand the need for urgency, have incredible time management skills, and love working in a collaborative environment. You are always learning and looking for ways to improve yourself, the process, and the team.


Qualifications include: 


  • 3+ years software testing experience
  • Experience in front end manual testing
  • Experience in agile methodologies 
  • High execution mindset while balancing the risk vs costs vs timeline
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of the user experience
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to prioritize and resolve issues
  • Document software failures and anomalies providing thorough detail to facilitate reproduction by developers, or work to identify root cause
  • Sharp eye for details and self-starter 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Nice to have

  • Good knowledge of SQL and database structure
  • Experience in native mobile application testing
  • Basic knowledge in Postman (or any other API test tool)
  • Basic knowledge in web analytics software (LogRocket, Mixpannel, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment
